Thought for the Day 7/10/2012

Don't pray to escape trouble.

  Don't pray to be more comfortable in your emotions.

      Pray to do the will of God in every situation.

      Nothing else is worth praying for.

Teach me to do Your will,  

   For You are my God;  

   Your spirit is good.  

       Lead me in the land of uprightness.  

Psalm 143:10  

We may not always know what God's will for our life is, but  

if we ask the Lord, he will show us. Earlier in the psalm  

it says, "Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,  

For I lift up my soul to You." (Psalm 143:8)
