Thought for the Dasy 12/30/2016

We will open the book. Its pages are blank.
We are going to put words on them ourselves.
The book is called Opportunity, and its first
     chapter is New Year's Day.
-Edith Lovejoy Pierce

And let us not grow weary of doing good,
for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
So then, as we have opportunity,
let us do good to every one.
-Galatians 6:9-10

Thought for the Day 12/29/2016

Stop telling God how big your storm is -
instead tell your storm how BIG your GOD is!
-Unknown

And I looked and arose and said to .... "Do not be
afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and
awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons,
your daughters, your wives, and your homes."

Thought for the Day 12/28/2016

Time is the coin of your life.  It is the only coin you have,
and only you can determine how it will be spent.
Be careful lest you let other people spend it for you.
-Carl Sandburg

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise,
BUT as wise.... making the best use of the time,
    because the days are evil.
-Ephesians 5:15-16

Thought for the Day 12/27/2016

I am thankful for my struggles, because without them
I would not have stumbled across my strengths.
-Unknown

For the sake of Christ then, I am content with weaknesses,
 insults, hardships, persecutions and calamities.
For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Snowflakes are a fragile thing individually,
BUT look at what they can do when they stick together.
-Fernando Bonaventura

For where two or three are gathered in my name,
  there am I among them
.

Thought for the Day 12/23/2016

YES. Such a simple word.  Just three letters. YES.
A simple word can change everything. I have always
been in awe of Mary's "yes."  By her humble obedience
to trust in what God was asking.
What faithfulness! And this was not just some simple request.
Not a small favor. But her whole life.
He was asking for her complete trust. For her all.
And she said YES to the call God had for her life.
What about YOU?
-Anonymous

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, whom we proclaimed
among you... BUT in Him it is always YES...
for all the promises of God find their YES in Him.
That is why it is through Him that we utter
our Amen to God for His glory!
-2 Corinthians 1:19-20
