Thought for the Day 3/31/2026

J esus' resurrection is the key stone of God's project, not to snatch people away from earth to heaven,  BUT  to colonize earth with the life of heaven. That, after all, is what the Lord's prayer is all about. ~ N. T. Wright P ray, then in this way: "Our Father who is in heaven, holy is Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." ~ Matthew 6:9-10

Thought for the Day 2/6/2019

G ratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings. ~ William Arthur Ward T herefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship.... ~ Hebrews 12:28

Thought for the Day 10/27/2017

W hatever the past has been,  you have a spotless future. ~Unknown I n the future, I will rebuild David's fallen kingdom.  I will build it from its ruins and set it up again,   just as it used to be.  ~Amos 9:11 (Acts 15:16)

Thought for the Day 4/1/2016

Jesus' resurrection is the beginning of God's   new project not to snatch people     away from earth to heaven but      to colonize earth with the life of heaven. That, after all, is what the Lord's Prayer is about. -N. T. Wright  Pray then like this: "Our Father in heaven,   hallowed be your name.     Your Kingdom come,       Your will be done,         on earth as it is in heaven.  -Matthew 6:9-10

Thought for the Day 7/4/2012

God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable than an empire can rise without His aid? -Benjamin Franklin "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding…” Daniel 2:20-21

Thought for the Day 12/1/2009

The Kingdom is a cheap purchase, Whatever the cost. Unknown "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls, and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it. Matthew 13:45-46

Thought for the Day 4/9/2009

Now it was the day of preparation for the Passover; it was about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, "Behold, your King!" So they cried out, "Away with Him, away with Him, crucify Him!" Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your King?" The chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar." John 19:14-15 These Jews indeed spoke the truth. They did not accept Jesus as the Messiah. Yet, even more stark than that, they did not even acknowledge God as their King. They proclaimed to be subjects to the kingdom of man only... selling out not only their sent Messiah, but ultimately their God also. Where is our allegiance? Do we deny Christ our King in our daily lives? Do we fully acknowledge that no authority is given over us unless our Father has allowed it? Let us all pray that the Lord may grant that Jesus return soon to establish the only kingdom of justice and righteousness... His kingdom on Earth. Adapted from Daily Meditation
