Thought for the Day 12/2/2005
Psalms 90:10-12 The length of our days is seventy years - or eighty, if we have the strength; yet their span is but trouble and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away. Who knows the power of your anger? For your wrath is as great as the fear that is due you. Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
How much time do you have left? If you could know, would you really want to know? This psalms reminds us to number our days. It is a fact that our days are numbered. Many of us prefer to file that simple fact away in the back of our mind so that we don't have to think about it. Have you numbered your days lately?
If you knew that you only had two weeks left on this earth, what would you do differently? Would those petty problems that seem to consume all of your time matter anymore? Would those arguments and fights within your family continue?
The fact is, our days our numbered. We should use them wisely. Number your days, live your life to it's fullest. Spend your time on the most important things.
