Thought for the Day 1/22/2008
A king may move a man. A father may claim a son.
But remember that even when those who move you be kings or men of power...
your soul is in your keeping alone.
When you stand before God, you cannot say,
"But I was told by others to do thus, or that virtue was not convenient at the time."
This will not suffice. Remember that.
~Spoken by the king in the movie, "Kingdom of Heaven"
No man can by any means redeem his brother
Or give to God a ransom for him
Psalm 49:7
For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?
Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?
For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels,
and then He will reward each according to his works.
Matthew 16:26-27
