What will make you happy? It seems that there is always "something else" that will make us happy.  Will it though?  the Psalmist reminds us in Psalm 16 that everlasting happiness is found only in the presence of God. God has promised us a joy that can never fade if we will only follow the path that He has made for us.   

Today, don't strive too much for temporary happiness. Strive more to obtain the eternal happiness that can only be found through and in Him.

  Friday Tale - "The Richest Man"   A rich landowner named Carl often rode around his vast estate so he could congratulate himself on his great wealth. One day while riding around his estate on his favorite horse, he saw Hans, an old tenant farmer. Hans was sitting under a tree when Carl rode by.          "I was just thanking God for my food." Hans said.          "If that is all I had to eat, I wouldn't feel like giving thanks." Carl protested.          "God has given me everything I need, and I am thankful for it."
