Thought for the Day 6/2/2005
Psalm 51:10,12 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
How is your mood today? Joyful? Angry? Happy? Sad? Irritable?
Our mood has a great impact upon our lives and upon the lives of people around us. Your witness can be destroyed because of your mood.
Within every situation, you have a choice as to how you act. With every situation, you can choose your reaction, which will dictate your mood for hours to come. Act, don't re-act.
David asked God to renew a "right" spirit within him. With God's help, David was able to restore the "joy" of having a relationship with God, and have a better attitude about things going on around him, because of that relationship.
If your day has started wrong or if you're in a bad mood today then take a moment to ask God to "renew a right spirit" within you.
Take the time to praise Him and recognize Him in your life.
