Thought for the Day 6/22/2005
Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Each of us are on a journey. A journey through life. This life is a wilderness, through which we all must travel. On the other side of the wilderness there are two kingdoms - one of joy and eternal happiness, and one of total death, nothingness, and oblivion.
Are you willing to face this wilderness alone? Are you willing to take a chance on your own knowledge along the path?
This verse promises us that we can trust God to guide us down the true path of life. While we are on that path, we are promised fullness of joy. At the end of the path, when we reach the Kingdom of God, according to His will, we are promised eternal happiness.
